Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how nextfullmoon.today processes your personal data. It is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The German version is the legally binding text.

The website is hosted by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. When you access the site, the following technically necessary connection data are processed in server log files:

• anonymised IP address
• date and time of the request
• requested URL and HTTP status code
• amount of data transferred
• user agent (browser type and version, operating system)
• referrer URL

These data are processed for the operation, security and error analysis of the website based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Mittwald. Log files are deleted or anonymised by Mittwald after no more than 7 days. 3. Cookies and storage on your device

nextfullmoon.today does not set any cookies that require consent. The following strictly necessary storage mechanisms are used:

localStorage (in your browser)

If you enter a date of birth in the "How many full moons have you lived through?" section, that value is stored locally in your browser only. It never leaves your device. You can delete it any time via your browser settings.

Service Worker cache (in your browser)

So the site works offline, static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons) are stored in a local browser cache. The cache stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

This storage is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG) and therefore exempt from consent.

4. Location (optional moonrise/moonset)

Using the "Moonrise & moonset (use my location)" button you can voluntarily share your device location to see local moonrise and moonset times. The location data:

• are only requested via your browser API after your active consent,
• are processed exclusively in your browser,
• are not transmitted to our servers or any third party,
• are not stored.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can revoke this consent at any time via your browser's location settings.

5. Web fonts

This site uses the typefaces "Fraunces" and "Inter". Both are served locally from this site's own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other third party, and no data — in particular no IP address — is transmitted to external servers.

6. Advertising

This site currently shows no advertising and embeds no ad scripts. Advertising via Google AdSense or comparable providers is planned for a later stage. When that happens, a consent banner will be introduced, you will be asked for your consent, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Encryption

Communication between your browser and our server is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS).

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
• rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

9. Right to lodge a complaint
